Condition

Painting on original canvas. From a first hand inspection there is a small loss of pigment in the background on the left-hand side of the nose. The ultra violet light reveals a light fluorescent varnish more evident over the dress of the lady. There are no retouches nor restaurations. The overall condition as to the state of preservation is very good.
