Description

  • height 7 in.
  • 18 cm
the lid surmounted by a bacchic scene, the box similarly carved in the round, retail label to the reverse F.J. Freccero / 25 Mayo 563 / Montevideo. 

Condition

All mask carved feet have been reglued at some stage. Ivory with age cracks and dirt. The lid made of four sections with visible seams. Traces of glue to the underside. Please note this lot contains endangered species and a CITES permit will be necessary for export. Please contact the department with any questions.
