the revolving seat with new yellow cotton upholstery, punched stamped F. LINKE to the underside of the chair frame. 

As stated in the cataloguing, the chair has been re-upholstered. The carcass showing all construction joints. The reeded carved frame with chips consistent with age and use. Wear to scrolled handles. Scratches and dents overall. Tarnishing to gilt-bronze mostly to the feet. Traces of glue consistent with a previous restoration to the left hand side of the left armrest. One foliate cast gilt bronze banding lacking to circular frame.
