Description

  • height 11 in.; width 13 1/2 in.
  • 28 cm; 34.3 cm
each back plate modelled as a satyr mask crowned with a grapevine wreath and issuing two scrolled and acanthus molded candle arms, two stamped A3284 to the reverse.

Condition

Overall good condition, the gilt-bronze dirty and with small areas of oxidation and pitting. Two candle nozzles slightly loose. The top of each satyr mask pierced probably originally for electricity.
