Description

  • height 8 ft. 3 1/2 in.
  • 252.5 cm
the clock surmounted by a figure of Father Time above a white and blue enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, the twin-train movement stamped with the Vicenti pastille and numbered 1010.111, the case flanked on both sides by lion masks and fronted by trellis parquetry reserves and terminating in paw feet, one mount has been removed the stamp KAHN from the bronze master model. 

Condition

Slight tarnishing to gilt-bronze in places. All bronzes with traces of old varnish, dirt and extensive wear in places. The left wing of Father Time is bent at the tip and has traces of white paint on top. The carcass with traces of age cracks, losses to veneer in many places with some visible replacements. Three large chips to the white enamel dial now showing the copper plate. The clock is lacking the key, bell and pendulum. Father Time is lacking his scythe. Overall with lifting to veneer and losses throughout. Circular glass clock face is lacking. Seams visible on Father Time to left leg and arm. The visit door beneath the mount of Zephyr laking the upper hinge and therefore cannot be securely set to the carcass.
