  • height of sphinx 17 1/4 in.; height of stool 18 3/4 in.
  • 43.8 cm and 47.7 cm
one, possibly English, modelled as a seated sphinx supporting a circular top; the other, by Julius Dressler, modelled as a stool with four scrolled legs and pierced aprons beneath a square top, the sphinx with painted pattern number 1255, the stool with molded factory mark. One foot restored back on to stool.
