made for J. M. Shaw & Co., New York, modelled with three American Eagles separated by flag handles bearing shields stamped WASHINGTON FATHER OF OUR COUNTRY/1776 DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE/1876 CENTENNIAL MEMORIAL, the interior glazed in turquoise, printed manufacturer's and retailer's mark, impressed date code Y/76. Minor restoration to edge of base and base of one handle.
Condition
One handle is restored beneath the flag and has probably been broken through at two points. Otherwise in good condition.
