Two English majolica game pie tureens and covers 1860 and 1868

comprising: a Minton basketweave-molded tureen, the cover with dead game resting on a bed of ferns; and a Wedgwood tureen molded in relief on each side with a cartouche of a dead bird, linked by flower swags to winged beast handles, the cover with two partridges forming the knop, the first with impressed year cypher and numeral 10, the second impressed WEDGWOOD, diamond registration mark and year code AOW. The Minton tureen with a minor hair crack to the cover. 4 pieces.

Wedgwood game pie dish – chip to handle at both ends of tureen and some glaze bubbling and pitting on the handles. Cover – glaze worn on the edge through use Minton game pie dish – the cover has has an L-shaped three inch crack on the lid by the duck and the duck wing edge is restored. The tureen is in good condition.
