A group of Minton majolica Renaissance-style wares 1860s/70s

comprising: a ewer and stand molded in relief with classical 'grotesque' decoration; a pair of candlesticks, the stems modelled as three female herms above a circular foot with fluted panels; and a two-handled cup molded in high relief with two centaurs, all impressed MINTON, the loving cup also with shape number 421, the candlesticks with shape number 446 and year cypher for 1864, the ewer and stand with shape number 472 and year cypher for 1871. Some minor restoration. 5 pieces.

Pair of candlesticks – one has been broken off through the top under the sconce and has U shaped piece glued back in . The same one has a 6 inch crack to the body . The other one has cracks to the rim and edge and a piece missing above the heads at the base of the urn. The ewer has restoration (poorly oversprayed) to the neck, handle and spout. Small glaze chips to the foot. Plate is in good condition The two handled cup – has a 2 ½ inch crack running down from the rim and four very minor glaze chips to the foot rim
