A Copeland majolica centerbowl and a pair of Copeland majolica ewers 1875 and 1873

the centerbowl molded on the exterior with seaweed and supported by two maidens with flowing drapery above four open shell dishes; the ewers decorated in Renaissance style with molded classical 'grotesque' decoration and set with the bust of an angel, one ewer impressed COPELAND  (?)/73, the other ewer and the centerbowl unmarked. Centerbowl with some restoration.

Center bowl – has been broken off through the narrow part of the stem and restored. Three of the four lower shells are restored. Restoration and chips to base and the edge of the shells. One of the ewers has a firing crack to one bird and chips to the other bird, and very minor glaze flakes to the body.
