surmounted by the figure of St. George and the dragon above four seated figures in Gothic niches of Henry III, Queen Elizabeth, Edward the Confessor and Queen Victoria, raised on a column with elaborate capitals of eagles, lions and palmettes, the base flanked by lions with war trophies between inscriptions honoring those fallen.
Condition
Overall in good condition with minor age cracks and dirt throughout. Most probably replacements to ivory in places but now unidentifiable.

The present sculpture is an exact rendition of the monument known as the Monument to those of Westminster School fallen in the Crimean War by John Birnie Philip and George Gilbert Scott I erected between 1859-1861, still in place today in Westminster, London.
