the architectural shaped clock case decorated to the front and side with arabesque enamel patterns, centered by an embossed gilt-metal dial, signed THEODORE B. STAER/NEW YORK, fitted with three winding cranks inscribed SF/UNITED STATES PATENTED 1879, the movement by the renowned clock maker Etienne Maxant, numbered 8840/81.
Condition
Overall in good condition with the usual minor scratches, nicks, wear to patina consistent with age and use. Some minor areas of oxidation, pedulum lacking.
