raised on a slightly spreading foot chased with a band of lily pad leaves, the body with jungle foliage and native figures on the bank of a pond on which lily pads float, the loop handle with overlapping palm trees terminating at both ends in large applied palms, hinged cover with horse and foal finial, gilt interior, marked right of handle, cover and finial, foot rim stamped SMITH & NICHOLSON DUKE ST LINn INN FIELDS

some losses to applied palm leaves, old repair to inside at upper handle terminal, repaired split to rim, otherwise good condition
