surmounted by a green marble top above a long frieze drawer and a further two drawers sans traverse, on tapering fluted supports. Regilded.
Condition
The gilt-bronze mounts have been regilded. Overall in good condition with the usual minor scratches, nicks and wear to carcass veneers consistent with age and use. Tarnishing in places to bronze mounts.

The present commode is based on the original pair made by Jean-François Leleu (1729-1807), reçu maître en 1764, delivered on May 1, 1773 for the bedchamber of the Duchesse de Bourbon in Paris.
