STRUCTURE This picture is relined and in good condition. CATALOGUE COMPARISON The illustration is broadly representative. PAINT SURFACE The surface is sound with bright colours and fine detail throughout. There are areas of craquelure on and around the calves which would benefit from localised treatment. UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT There is an opaque varnish and infillings to the craquelure. FRAME This picture is contained in a moulded plaster sweep frame.
