Catalogue Note

"Tirage à part of Moreno: Viage à Constantinopla, Madrid, 1790. That this is a true tirage à part is indicated by the presence of the engraved subtitle, which does not occur in the ordinary edition, and by the fact that the head- and tail-pieces and the vignettes are included in the set of plates without letterpress. It is possible that this was not a commercial production but a  set of proofs of the plates, but this seems unlikely in view of the engraved subtitle" (Blackmer).

The text to these plates describes the voyage of the Spanish naval mission to Constantinople in 1784.
