Description

  • JLL monogram in white, museum inventory numbers
  • 13.8cm., 5 3/8 in.
from the Alhambra Series, each double-ogee bowl decorated with either red or blue scroll between gilt and enamel bands, set on a slender stem flanked by collars over a high spreading foot decorated with stylised leaves, heart-shapes and scrollwork

Helmuth Meißner, Dresden (from whom seized by the East German Secret Service for export in 1982; withdrawn from export for the Kunstgewerbemuseum Berlin (East) at Schloss Köpenick)

Restituted from the Kunstgewerbemuseum Berlin to the heirs of Helmuth Meißner in 2007
