Description
- 12.1cm., 4¾in.
painted with a titled Viennese view inscribed Place de la Cour Imple et Royle à Vienne., within a gilt amber-stained panel, the reverse with a gilt palmette band below the rim and a gilt leaf tendril, the star-cut cogwheel base with amber staining, gilt rim
Condition
There is a shallow sliced chip to the rim located on the left side - within the amber-stained band - next to the corner of the rectangular amber frame around the painted view on the front. It is not visible from the front and measures 1.5cm wide by 80mm high. The chip extends into the top edge of the rim where it measures 30mm deep at that point and 40mm wide.
The gilding is very typically rubbed on the top edge of the rim. Otherwise it is generally in good condition.
