Description

  • black or gold printed marks
comprising: four plates painted with small shaped panels, by Bowen or Lynes, against an `acid gold' ground, 23.5cm., 9¼in., small scratch to two plates; four silver-shaped plates, painted by Freeman or Smith, with gilt gadroon-moulded rims, 26.5cm., 10¼in., minor scratches; five breakfast cups and six saucers, painted by Smith, Freeman and Bowen, two cups with glued repairs, some scratches

Condition

Plates with acid gold ground- two plates have a scratch to the painted panel. Silver shaped plates- one has several noticeable scratches to the centre. The others in good condition with minor scratching. Cups- two cups have a large glued repaired section to the rim. One of these also has chips to the rim and the other has a haircrack to the rim, approx. 1in. length. The other three cups are in overall good condition with minor scratches. Saucers- overall in good condition with some typical scratching to the gilt centres.
