A Bow figure allegorical of `Earth' circa 1760

modelled as Ceres standing in long floral robes holding a cornucopia of fruit, a lion at her feet, 19cm., 7in.; also a Bow figure of a seated woman playing a tambourine, circa 1765, 23cm., 9in.; and a Bow figure of Venus, circa 1765, standing holding a flower, a pair of billing doves at her feet, 24cm., 9½in. 

Earth: left arm restored below elbow and some restoratio to purple lining of cloak above the elbow. Some chips to flowers in hair and to flowers on base. Some chips to the leaves in cornucopia. Firing crack which runs across the base and up the front of the dress stopping adajcent to the lion's chin. Minor flaking to enamels. Woman with tambourine: restoration to bonnet, to both arms, to tambourine and to bows on bodice. Some re-painting to the green enamel on shoulders. Shallow chip to edge of outer skirt, approx. ½in by ¼in. Some restoration to right foot. Several shallow chips to edges of scroll moulded base. Quite a number of chips to applied flowers and leaves. Venus: restoration to head and across shoulders. Both arms restored. Chip to left thumb. Left forefinger lacking. Some restoration to both doves. Extensive chips to applied flowers and leaves. Shallow chip to base, approx. 1cm. by 1cm.
