'Devant 3645' in puce and '3645 WII' and 'Mas(...)last' in red script
- 34cm., 13¼in.
based on a Sèvres example, of shallow circular form, decorated with sprays of strawberries and wild flowers and butterflies picked out in gold against a pale grey-blue ground, the metal handles modelled as swaying branches, the ormolu foot standing on a porcelain plinth with the same decoration
Condition
There is some rubbing to the gilt band around the shoulder of the vase.
There are scattered flat chips along three underside edges of the rectangular plinth of the vase, and a 1cm flat chip to the edge on one side. There is a 1cm narrow flat chip/glaze flake to the base of the plinth on one side, and a 3mm flat chip to the bottom edge near the corner on another side of the plinth.
One gilt-metal mount is slightly loose.
Otherwise generally in good condition.
