circular, the first painted with the muse embracing the artist in a garden next to a sculpture of Cupid, the second with a barefooted maiden fetching water, the first with lid and base numbered: 8236, the second with lid and base numbered: 6517, each lid titled, each base with Mark VII

Depictions of Raphael and the bakeress who is said to have posed for his Portrait of a Young Woman of 1518-20 (Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica, Rome) were popular in the early 19th century, the most well-known being that by Ingres.
