- apparently unmarked, probably Spanish, mid 19th century
- width 7cm, 2 3/4 in
rectangular with cut corners, in 18th century taste, chased with female figures, architecture, birds, dogs and foliate scrolls on a sablé ground, the lid and base inset with oval agate plaques incised with geometric motifs
Condition
Very good condition. The chasing is nicely done, and with very minimal wear. Possibly re-lined. Slight lid closure gap at left side.
