  • the latter with C in underglaze-blue and incised S
the first decorated with a square gilt cartouche enclosing a finely painted scene of Lucretia, the saucer and reverse of the cup with elaborate gilt garlands of foliage and flowers; and two goblet litron, one painted with a gilt landscape against a matt blue ground, the other with bands of landscapes in camaieu against a salmon-pink ground alternating with gilt bands of tooled martial trophies and musical instruments

Condition

Left to right in catalogue illustration: 1st cup and saucer: very minor faint surface wear ti gilt foliate medallion in well of saucer. middle cup and saucer: typical faint surface scuffs to burnished gilt ground of saucer where cup stands. 3rd cup and saucer: some typical faint discolouration to matte-blue-ground on saucer. Otherwise in good condition.
