wrought iron, with a squared stem surmounted by a spirally turned pricket supporting two candle-nozzles on a circular base

This candlestick has a spirally fluted stem which enables the candlearms to be raised and lowered. It is based upon a 15th century model,  formerly in the Albert Figdor collection, illustrated in Die Sammlung Albert Figdor, Vienna, Vol. I, 1930, plate 466.
