Description

  • Mirrors: h.170cm., w.140cm; Consoles: h.116cm., w.149.5cm., d.44cm
white painted, parcel gilt and carved, each mirror with a rectangular plate, the tables with a later veined grey and white shaped top lifting to reveal a painted tole interior, one with the paper label on the underside Ravier.... and Fanasli..Via Montebello 16, Firenze; together with an Italian white-painted and parcel-gilt armchair, the rectangular padded back surmounted by a ribbon-tied boss with acanthus and husks, with scrolled finials, above downscrolled padded arms, above a bowed padded seat, on leaf carved turned tapering legs terminating in toupie feet; painting and gilding refreshed

Condition

Of impressive appearance. The raised backs of the console tables are generally tidy. Some slight marks to mirror plates. The tables sections have typical separations. One table with a fractured marble top and loose stretcher. Armchair with a lot of old worm in the frame and the fabric in need of cleaning. The paint work and gilt in all the items of this lot with typical wear including scuffing and partial gilt losses.
