STUCTURE The canvas has been relined. CATALOGUE ILLUSTRATION the colour is richer throughout than the catalogue illustration suggests. PAINT SURFACE The paint surface is in good clean condition with a light even varnish. Clean and ready to hang. ULTRAVIOLET ultraviolet light reveals a few areas of light scattered infilling in the sky, retouching to frame abrasions and some further spots in the foreground. The restoration has been sensitively executed. FRAME Held in a plaster gilt frame in fair condition
