Condition

STRUCTURE The canvas has been relined. PAINT SURFACE The apint surface is clean and generally sound however the relining has lead to some paint shrinkage in the sky. ULTRAVIOLET UV light reveals retouching to the outlines of the central group of figures and horses, also retouching to two repairs just of the right border. This restoration has been professionally executed and invisible to the naked eye. FRAME Held in an ornate plaster gilt frame in fair condition.
