Condition
The painting is on unlined canvas and is on its original stretcher. The work would appear to be in excellent condition. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals some minor retouching to the centre of the lower edge. There are some other minor touches of repaint to the outline of the horse and the background, but these could be by the artist's own hand.
Held in a composition frame, with a cloth canvas inset.
