Condition
The panel is sound. There are pigments within the sky and the water which fluoresce under ultraviolet light, some of these are clearly retouchings, notably in the top left corner and along the top edge, though some of them might be the artist's original pigment. There are some small spots of paint loss to the side of the predominant light grey mountain, otherwise the paint surface is overall in good condition. Held in a simple plaster moulded gilt frame.
