Condition
The canvasboard is flat and even. There are a couple of spots of retouching to the man's coat collar visible under ultraviolet light. There may be some further spekcs cosmetic retouching though a proper reading of this is hindered by a fluorescing varnish layer. Apart from some small lines of craquelure to the upper left corner, the paint surface is in good overall condition though would benefit from a light surface clean. Held in a simple wooden frame painted silver.
