Condition

The canvas was extended by the artist (the join is visible towards the left edge) and has an old relining. There are some retouchings corresponding to the aforementioned join, a few small scattered spots within the gentlemen's clothing, notably to the fifth gentleman from the left, and a few retouchings to the extreme edges of the work. The paint surface is overall in good condition. Held in a simple gilt wood frame.
