Condition

The work is executed on a number of sheets of wax paper laid down onto a board which remains flat and even. No retouchings are evident under ultraviolet light. There are some spots of minor paint loss and the joins in the paper are evident, notably centre left. There are also some chips towards the centre left, the upper left and lower left corners. Otherwise the work is in good overall condition with areas of good impasto. Held in a simple gilt wood frame with a grey slip.
