Condition
Original canvas. There is a spot of retouching to the centre of the top edge and another in the top left corner visible under ultraviolet light. There are a few spots of pigment loss to the darker paint in the foreground, a small pinhole in the upper left and the canvas is undulating slightly, otherwise the paint surface is overall in good condition with strong impasto throughout. There is a figurative study in landscape format on the reverse. Held in a simple gilt wood frame.
