A Northwest Coast Wood Effigy Spoon

very finely carved with pointed oval bowl emerging to a broad slightly convex handle, the finial in the form of a crouching human figure, with sharply bent arms and legs, the face with slightly pointed chin, parted lips, splayed nostrils, oval eye rims and arching brows, wearing a long straight coiffure; remains of red pigment and rich honey-colored patina overall.
