de forme rectangulaire, légèrement incurvé, composé de plusieurs bandes d'écorce de palmier renforcées sur les bords de fibres végétales tressées et de rotin. La face, recouverte d'un enduit, est peinte sur une moitié d'une bande de carrés blancs sur fond noir. Le revers, doublé d'un tressage de joncs recouvert d'un enduit brun, est muni d'une poignée en vannerie. Belle patine d'usage.

Good condition overall. Wear consistent with age and use within the culture. An old break, indigenously repaired, visible in the catalogue illustration. Thin stable cracks along the length and a few losses to the white patina on one square motif, both as evidenced by the catalogue illustration.
