Le gong campaniforme, composé de deux feuilles de fer martelées et soudées, est surmonté d'un cordon de suspension en vannerie. Le maillet à manche droit présente une tête sphérique en fibres tressées. Belle patine profonde.



Les grands gongs ont été utilisés par les Tétéla dans les rituels de sociétés secrètes masculines, avant de servir de monnaie d'échange.

Good condition overall. Wear consistent with age and use within the culture. Minor crack on mallet handle.
