de forme ovale, bombé à l'ombilic, orné sur les deux faces d'un décor géométrique en réserve sur fond noir. Au dos, la poignée, sculptée dans un cadre de bois, est ornée de vannerie en zigzags.
Les boucliers des Azandé, véritables insignes de prestige, appartenaient aux princes ou aux officiers de haut rang, commandant l'arrière-garde lors des batailles.

Good condition overall. Wear consistent with age and use within the culture.
Some superficial scratches along the rim. A tiny hole (approximately 3mm in diameter) in the middle of the lower part.
