en forme d'oiseau stylisé enserrant un rouleau dans son bec. L'assise ajourée est gravée de losanges imbriqués dont le dessin caractéristique rappelle les motifs des tissus Kuba dits "velours du Kasaï". Les bords sont incisés d'un décor de chevrons. Il porte un ancien numéro d'inventaire sous le siège : 491 03. Très belle patine brune, nuancée.
Les appui-dos, pouvant servir de siège, étaient réservés à l'usage exclusif des hauts dignitaires Kuba.

Good condition overall. Wear consistent with age and use within the culture. An old break to one foot, indigenously repaired (wicker).
