Chacune est ornée, sur la partie inférieure du manche, d'un décor pyrogravé de stries et de motifs points cercles. Patine laiteuse.
Selon Wanless (in Johannesburg, 1991 : 140), les cuillers à priser étaient en général portées comme ornement, soit dans les cheveux, soit suspendues au cou ou aux oreilles percées. Elles pouvaient aussi être utilisées pour collecter la sueur et étaient par conséquent considérées comme des objets extrêmement personnels".

Good condition overall. Wear consistent with age and use within the culture.
The longest (shown at centre in catalogue illustration) slightly rubbed on motif at the reverse of neck, and a tiny old chip to the rim of bowl, approximately 5mm, as evidenced by the catalogue illustration. Patina of spoons slightly warmer than as shown in the catalogue illustration.
