carved in the round, the face with contemplative expression, with pendulous pierced earlobes, the hair tied in a high chignon held by a slash mounted on a stand

Condition

There is a vertical split down the left side of the face. There is a split and lacquer loss to the top knot. There is a section missing to the left edge and some infilling and loss to lacquer in the neck/shoulder area.
