  • A CAST IRON FIGURE OF A BHODISATVA, MING DYNASTY
  • 118cm high
seated in the strict frontal dhyanasana, with legs crossed and hands up-turned in dhyanamudra on lap, wearing stylised crown with scroll motif, heavily stylised hair and large lobed ears, the robes opening at chest revealing beaded necklace, seated on a double lotus base

Condition

There are areas of filling/repair to the knees, shoulders, arms, waist and area where figure meets the base.
