- A FINE AND RARE GEORGE III GILT GESSO MIRROR, ENGLISH, CIRCA 1790
- 102.5cm high, 57.5cm wide
of oval form, the verre eglomisé plate painted with a fortress beside a water-way in wintry landscape and a trailing floral border, surmounted by an urn holding flowers and scrolling branches holding delicate swags and cascading berried leaves, flowers and ribbon ties
Condition
Has minor repairs throughout, some wear to original gilding and has areas carefully touched up, the plate has strip where silvering is evident
