- A 19TH CENTURY SCOTTISH MAHOGANY SECRETAIRE CHEST OF DRAWERS
- 125cm wide 60cm deep 150cm high
the rectangular top resting on two serpentine fronted drawers above three straight front drawers, the central drop flap drawer enclosing compartments and drawers with inset leather writing surface, flanked by carved sroll half columns, the shaped base with a single drawer with applied carved scrolls, between side blocks with arched mouldings
Condition
Overall condition good. Small hairline cracks to venner of rectangular top and also the sides, small section of veneer missing to side corner of top and to front bracket, a number of rubbed areas to the top of the platform base abd repair to one end and wear consistant with age
