Compare a closely related figure of the patriarch Damo from the Richard Lehman Gray Collcetion, included in the China Institute exhibition, Blanc de Chine. Divine Images in Porcelain, New York, 2002, cat.no. 75, which the author, John Ayers, attributes to the late 19th or early 20th century.
