The work is in good condition, the canvas is not lined, some craquelure throughout there are a few specks of white paint on the surface of the work that do not seem to be original, some surface dirt. There is some pigment separation in the rump of the dark horse. There is a light abrasion on the fetlock of the white horse, some paint loss at lower right. Very small hole to upper right. UNDER UV: thick opaque varnish possibly hiding some inpainting.
