Catalogue Note

The present picture was painted as a pendant to Phillida, depicting a girl in pink and wearing a cloche cap seated on a narrow jetty over water. The present picture has been described thus, 'The girl, this time in a borad brimmed bonnet is set against a deceptively simple looking background of water, and yet technically it must have been anything but simple to portray.' (Keith S. Gardner and Nigel D. Clark, Sir William Russell Flint 1880-1969, A Comparative Review of the Artist's Signed Limited Edition Prints, 1986, p. 138)
