Condition

Original canvas. The paint surface is dirty and there is a layer of discoloured varnish. The canvas weave is quite loose in places. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals some slightly darker pigmentation to the top edge suggests some older retouching. We would recommend a surface clean. Held in a simple wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
