Condition

Original canvas. The apint surface is dirty. There are some fine lines of craquelure in places Examination under uv reveals no apparent retouching. Unframed.

Depicting Lake Sevan, known as 'Armenia's heavenly pearl', this tranquil landscape is exemplary of Saryan's artistic style in the 1940s and 50s. The 296 on the reverse is the inventory number given by his wife, Lusik Lazarevna.
