Description
- height of largest: 12.5cm., 5in.; height of smallest: 5.5cm., 2¼in.
comprising: two eggs with the images of the Virgin Mary and Christ Pantocrator both within a gilt burnished border on a cobalt blue ground, one egg painted with pan-slavic motif together with eleven pastel eggs of various sizes decorated with gilt sprays and flowers and two red lacquer eggs
Condition
There is some rubbing to the gilding and surface scratches to all the eggs. The Blue egg with floral design has a discoloured patch closer to the base. Two eggs have minor chips to the ribbon holes. The small lacquer one has chips to the paint surface especially along the edges of the two halves.
